Lawrence Wittenberg is a North Carolina licensed attorney whose entire practice is dedicated to representing disabled clients before the Social Security Administration. He has been representing clients before the Social Security Administration since 1984. He is licensed to practice before all North Carolina State Courts, United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, Western Districts of North Carolina and the United States 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. Experience: Mr. Wittenberg is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR), and is currently serving his fourth term as a Representative on the Board of Directors for NOSSCR. He is also the present Treasurer on the Executive Board of NOSSCR. Mr. Wittenberg is also a member of the Disability Advocacy Section of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers and has recently put together a Continuing Legal Education Program entitled "Federal Social Security District Court Practice" scheduled in Cary, North Carolina for August 24, 2007. Speakers include the Honorable Terrence Boyle, U.S. District Court Judge, Eastern District of North Carolina, the Honorable Dennis P. Invarone, Clerk of Court of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, Mark Goldenberg, Office of General Counsel of the Social Security Administration and other nationally and regionally known speakers. Mr. Wittenberg has been a presenter at other Disability Advocacy Section Seminars and at NOSCCR national conferences. He has also been a guest lecturer in "Administrative Law" at North Carolina Central University School of Law by invitation of Professor Davis Harris. Mr. Wittenberg has also spoke before dozens of support groups (MS, CFIDS) and medical providers to explain and educate his audience on the intricacies, rules and requirements of the Social Security Administration. Mr. Wittenberg has also been a member or participant in many other legal and community groups:
Mr. Wittenberg is also very involved with his family. He can regularly be heard cheering his children on in youth soccer, basketball, softball and baseball.
